Turntable

From BonsaiWIKI

A turntable is a bonsai tool consisting of a rotating platform that can be used at the work station or growing bench to position a bonsai for work on all sides. Turntables are useful in handling heavy trees, inspecting a tree from different positions, speeding work and reducing the labor involved in pruning and thinning a bonsai.

The most useful turntables have a brake that can be used to secure the rotating platform against movement. Some have adapted barber chairs to create turntables for very large trees. These also offer the advantage of vertical adjustment of the height of the platform, which is a feature only available on the most expensive Japanese turntables.
