A timer is an electronic device used to regulate the flow of water to an irrigation system, such as a mist system or drip watering system.
Pricing reflects the degree of sophistication and durability of the device. Most timers offer controls of duration and frequency, and some are threaded for use with garden hoses, or designed for rigid plumbing. Some can be very difficult to program. Timers may be battery operated or operate from household current, usually through the use of a transformer to adapt the system to low voltage (12-24V)
