Peruvian Peppertree

Schinus molle, the Peruvian Peppertree, is a South American tree in the family Anacardiaceae. It is subtropical, tolerates heat and full sun well, and is tolerant of alkaline soils. Care should be taken not to overwater, and to protect from frosts.

It is also occasionally known, incorrectly, as California Peppertree (it is not native to California).
