Description
- Mudmen are traditional clay figurines of Chinese men in period costume, playing Go, smoking or fishing, riding water buffalo. Some mudmen are elaborately detailed with Fu Manchu mustache and tiny fingers as well as ornate robes.
- Mudmen are sometimes displayed with bonsai, perched or reclining beneath branches, suggesting the leisurely life of the scholarly contemplation, or the earthy life of the farmer or fisherman.
