Mist

From BonsaiWIKI

Misting is one way to increase the humidity in the bonsai's growing environment.

Mist is fine spray of water, larger than that arising from evaporation. When bonsai are misted, a fine dew of water droplets settle on their branches and leaves. These droplets evaporate easily because of their large surface area in relation to their size.

Mist may arise from natural processes such as fog and spray or it may be produced by a pump sprayer or by electrostatic processes.
