Juniper
From BonsaiWIKI
Juniper is the common name for plants belonging to the genus Juniperus. They are evergreen coniferous shrubs and trees, growing to 1-20 meters tall in nature. They generally feature immature needle foliage and mature scale foliage, though some species retain needle foliage throughout their life. The plants are long lived, some thriving in hot semi-desert conditions. They are popular for driftwood style, informal upright style and cascade style bonsai.
In addition to its popularity among bonsai artists, Juniper is the most common plant seen in commercial sales of bonsai (see mallsai).
