Handle

A Handle is a pseudonym used by a participant on an Internet forum. Handles originated as an anonymous but recognizable nickname (think back to the days of Citizen's Band (CB) radio), and became popular on USENET and early mail lists.

The topic is controversial. Some folks don't like the use of pseudonyms, and others respect the right of privacy of the individual.
