About Flame Style Bonsai

Flame style is a bonsai style unique to the natural form of Ginkgo.
Somewhat similar to clump style, this is an upright form that features multiple competing branches that begin low on the trunk and rise vertically as they ramify into smaller twigs.
The style gets its name from the flame-shaped silhouette of trees grown in this form.
