Fertigation
From BonsaiWIKI
Fertigation is irrigation + fertilization; the application of nutrient-enriched irrigation water.
The intent of fertigation is to apply nutrients primarily nitrogen and phosphorus, but also the micronutrients potassium, sulfur, iron, and zinc.
A water-soluble fertilizer solution can be mixed as needed, or injected into the irrigation supply using a fertilizer injector or siphon.
Care should be taken to insure when mixing and applying fertilizer to be sure that that overfertilization does not occur.
