Feet

Feet are attached to the bottom of bonsai containers to elevate the pot above the display table. These feet may have ornamental or functional purposes. From a functional standpoint they can improve drainage through the drainage holes on the bottom of the container. They also provide circulation around the bottom of the pot, which helps to inhibit the growth of mold. From an aesthetic standpoint, the feet increase the height of the container and may set it off visually, and increase the formality of the container's design.
Pot feet may be simple designs, or ornate, such as cloud feet or animal feet
