Eye protection

Always wear eye protection when working with hand or power tools!
- Bonsai tools are very hard and can chip or splinter under pressure
- Power tools like grinders, wire brushes and sanders can throw debris, grit or even even pieces of the tool.
- Chemicals, fungicides and insecticide may be hazards
- Bonsai artists have suffered eye injury by bending over growing containers that contain bamboo stakes.
- Abrasive, volcanic soils can be an eye irritant during sifting or repotting.
