Evergreen

Evergreens are trees and shrubs that retain their foliage throughout the year. Many evergreens are conifers that have needles, such as pine and cedar, while others have scale foliage (juniper). Broadleaf evergreens also exist. Some are tropical bonsai (citrus, Buttonwood).
Even evergreens lose portions of their foliage, and may enter a period of semi-dormancy in cold climates
