Drip watering

From BonsaiWIKI

Drip watering is a type of irrigation that involves a network of hoses in diameters of 1/2 to 1/4 or 1/8 inch to water plants using low flow rates and tiny emitters, micro- sprinklers and soaker hose. Drip watering is said to be very efficient because it minimizes runoff by applying water at the rate the soil can absorb it. Drip watering also minimizes the growth of invasive weeds by irrigating only the root system within the dripline of the shrubs and trees.
