Cats and dogs

From BonsaiWIKI

A cat or dog can be great for rodent control or as a watchdog, but you have to take the good with the bad.

Cats can topple trees from benches, and some seem to love digging in the soil, whether or not they use it as a litterbox.

Dogs will dig, chew and urinate on most anything they can get their paws on, so do be careful about where you place your prized trees. Dogs might munch on your fertilizer cakes, too.

  1. Keep precious plants out of reach
  2. Train, and reward good behaviour.
  3. A squirt gun treatment, repeated over time, might keep a cat or dog out of your plants.
  4. Provide your pets with alternative interests, and they may leave your plants in peace, not pieces!
