About Broom Style Bonsai
- Broom Style - One of the classical bonsai styles, the broom style resembles an inverted broom with a single trunk dividing into branches and many symmetric branchlets, which themselves subdivide into twigs and so forth. The chief characteristics of the broom style is its distinctive silhouette, single, upright trunk and branch ramification.
- 1. Broom style bonsai represent deciduous trees growing under ideal conditons: a level, open field, receiving light and ventilation from all directions.
- 2. The classical broom style is more symmetric than that of the free-form naturalistic style
- 3. Zelkova is a popular species for broom style
