Bonsai displays are individual scenes created with the use of bonsai, bonsai stands, accent plantings and scrolls, viewing stones and sometimes figurines.
The purpose of the bonsai display is to convey a natural scene, feeling or mood using these components as a design palette. A successful display will describe in broad strokes and let the viewer fill-in with his imagination as needed.
A bonsai exhibit consists of several bonsai displays brought together.
