Bonsai contest

Bonsai contests challenge bonsai artists to demonstrate their skill at working with raw material or redesigning existing bonsai.

Entry rules differ from contest to contest. There are even contests that accept only photographic submissions. Some virtual bonsai contests even have taken place on some of the bonsai forums. Many contests are coordinated with a major bonsai exhibit or bonsai convention.
