Bird
From BonsaiWIKI
Birds can be bonsai pests too. Bluejays are often seen digging around bonsai, particularly in spring months as they look for places to plant their acorns or seek out nesting materials and food sources.
Trees with berries, like Holly, Hawthorn and Pyracantha, or small fruits, like Crabapple are especially attractive to birds in the fall, as the food supply drops. I have seen mesh cages created for shohin bonsai, made from hardware cloth or chicken wire to protect these trees.
Organic fertilizer cake might be attractive to some birds. Consider adding some fertilizer cups to cover the soil surface.
Scarecrows and metallic tape (tinsel) can also be discouraging to birds.
