Azalea

Azaleas are flowering shrubs that belong to the Azaleadendron group. They are closely related to rhododendrons. The azaleas used for bonsai belong two main varieties of evergreen plants, satsuki azalea or kurume azalea.

Azaleas are acid-loving plants. They should not be allowed to dry out completely, and they should be protected from full summer sun in most climates.
